3 tips for bringing your dog to your engagement session
I have been LOVING how many couples as of late have been bringing their sweet doggos to their engagement session. Have you ever wondered about whether this is a good idea or not? I wanted to run down a couple suggestions you may have if you’re wanting to bring your dog to your engagement session.
- Bring someone that is “dog handler” for the shoot- This way you can focus on being in front of the camera and someone else can be making sure your dog is looking my way. If we are at a park chances are there will be other dogs and kids, and birds, and squirrels. You get what I am saying. Distractions.
- Bring treats. Enough said.
- Have someone pickup your dog after 15 minutes of shooting with dog. We just need a couple pictures with your dog, and fortunately I am QUICK when it comes to shooting so there is no need for your sweet dog to be there the entire session.
So the answer is YES!
Please always let me know if you are wanting to bring your dog(s) to your session so I can make sure and let you know of each locations rules and regulations for pets. As always please make sure your dog is on a leash when you arrive and you bring bags to clean up any messes they make.
