Getting ready photos can be absolutely beautiful. I have found over the years WHAT you wear as the bride can really change how the photos turn out and how many photos we can do in that outfit. The more thoughtful the outfit, the more photos taken (if time allows:). So I put together some ideas for you of exactly what to wear.
To be honest Brittlee sparked the idea for writing this article. Her getting ready outfit was hands down my favorite of the entire year. A simple cami slip and dramatic long lace robe made for some beautiful getting ready photos.
When picking what to wear for the morning of your wedding make sure and all your bridesmaids are wearing a cami or button down. Why? This ensures makeup application can be done on chest if needed, and your hair and makeup won’t get messed up when removing garments. Think light and flowy for your outfit. You’re going to have lights shinning on you from makeup artist so you don’t want to be in too many layers.
I reached out to Brittlee after her wedding to find out where she got hers. It is a splurge at $187 for both the slip and robe but WOW. Adele Lace Maxi Bridal Robe . So I thought I would round up some affordable options for those looking for similar feel for their wedding day. PS. Le Rose where she got it, has INCREDIBLE bridal outfits. Just saying. But if you’re on an amazon budget, I got you.
